Bristow's bus backtrack?

In his election campaign, Paul Bristow promised to save the No. 9 bus. He was given the chance to make good on that promise in the last board meeting and he didn't take it. So we are calling on him again to fulfil that promise and bring forward proposals at the upcoming meeting of the transport committee.

When Stagecoach reduced the services on the Number 9 bus, the previous mayor stepped in to fill the gaps. Stagecoach have now given notice that they will no longer support the current service but we still await positive action from the current incumbent.

The mayor’s own team are telling him that there are “limited alternative options for many communities” and that there is a “low estimated cost per passenger to tender”.

In a recent social media post, Mayor Bristow made a clear promise to save the service yet we are still waiting for evidence that he will honour this commitment.

For those villages and towns along the A10 corridor that rely on this vital  link We call on Mayor Bristow to  commit  to a new number 9 bus as his first contribution to the Tiger Network.
